Prayer Request - February 14, 2010

Please remember the following requests in your daily prayers:

**Laura Fite - Laura had another colonoscopy Thursday in Chapel Hill. She has extensive cancer that is malignant. She will have surgery next Thursday that will last from 3 - 5 hours and will be in the hospital for 7 - 10 days. Her entire colon will be removed and a new one formed from small intestine. The doctor thinks, from what he has seen, that the cancer has not spread outside this area. However, the lymph nodes will be checked to see if they have been effected and depending on the results of this, chemo will be done. It will be some months (possibly six months) before chemo could be done if it is necessary.Please pray for Laura as she prepares for this that she will draw from God's strength. Pray for strength for Becky as she supports and cares for Laura.
Laura asks that we especially pray for her two boys Aaron and Colin. We want to also pray for Laura's husband, Kent, as he cares for his family and takes care of a business (restaurant) that is very demanding.
**Billy is still at Chapel Hill where they are continuing to try to re-insert his feeding tube without success. He will have surgery Sat to remove fluid that has built up in his abdomen. He was told today about Laura.
It is important that we keep this family covered in prayer everyday!

**Sherri Creech - Continue to remember Sherri as she recovers from a sickness that resulted in a hospital visit last week.
